Simply Perfect Scale {Part 3}

The dining table and chairs, and the tabletop arrangements, keep a low profile.  Kitchen stools are also low, with a smooth, thick wooden seat, tucking under the counter so as not to occupy more visual space.

We’re back to the visual magic again.

In this instance, the actual great room is not particularly large. By using low-backed chairs and plants, the lines of sight are kept open. This keeps the scale appropriate to the space and lets the eye move across the room, while allowing for defined spaces with traffic patterns.

The use of neutral tones also keeps the space from being choppy or visually busy. And changing the red on the table or kitchen counter to another color, such as teal or yellow, would create an entirely new look.
