Blossom Silver Bunny starts each morning with a swim — lake, loch, or lido, as long as it’s open water and bracingly cold. (“It sharpens the whiskers,” she says.)

Despite her serene appearance, Blossom thrives on the thrill of a foggy 6 a.m. dip. She’s even invented her own stroke that uses her ears as propellers.

Afterward, she wraps herself in a woolly towel, notes her split times, and insists it isn’t competitive — though she’s definitely racing the ducks.
