Wide open spaces
The abundance of light makes the kitchen feel spacious. A high-top wooden table features a waterfall edge and is framed with a metal band and trivets along the edges.
On the table, a blown glass pitcher filled with lemons sits on a wooden pedestal next to blue and white napkins. The bright yellow adds a cheerful splash of color and complements the blues, used throughout the space.
The table is large enough to accommodate four counter-height stools. Upholstered in a light-colored tweed fabric and accented with a nailhead border, the stools provide comfort and durability while adding to the light feeling in the room.
The iron lantern-style cage light above the island is large enough to light the entire area yet feels airy and graceful.
Metallic honeycomb vases on the island provide interesting texture and shine. The floral arrangement next to them, in a mercury glass vase, features bright oranges and yellows, repeating the color of the nearby lemons. Tall white peonies in square vases frame the sink—again, the farmhouse-style—while announcing that spring has truly arrived.
