Spring has finally sprung! With the warm weather setting in I am ready to open my windows and let the fresh air in. It also gives me the urge to clean and pack away the winter. These are my five go-to items to get you headed in the right direction.
1. The List
The best place to start is by making a list of the things you want to accomplish in each space. Then start tackling the items on the list one by one.
2. Closets
It’s time to put away our winter wear and free up closet space for more warm weather appropriate clothing. Be sure to purge the items that no longer fit or that are worn out to save space for what you actually use.
3. Pantry and Fridge
This is a great time to assess what we have and see what has gone bad. Let the annual purging of drawers, cabinets, pantry and refrigerator begin! This is a great time to assess what we have and see what has gone bad. Take the opportunity to clean and reorganize these important areas.
4. Baseboards, Doors, & Cabinets
Clean baseboards can make a room look clean and can even make your paint look better. Choosing a method that works for you is key. Vacuuming the edges first will make the process easier and give you better results.
5. Windows
Be sure to catch all the sights and sunlight of the season by removing any dirt, dust, and grime that may have built up over the winter. Cleaning them on a cloudy day is best so you don’t have to worry about them drying too fast or leaving streaks and water spots.
